The Process

01. Initial Consultation

Bring your ideas to life — no matter how big or small. Whether you’ve collected photos, sketches, or just a spark of inspiration, we’re here to help transform your vision into reality. You can choose to begin with an existing design or collaborate with our team to create something entirely unique. Once we understand your preferences — from metal type to gemstone selection — we’ll prepare a detailed quote tailored just for you.

02. Design

Once we’ve explored your style, story, and preferences, our expert team will begin transforming your vision into a design. You’ll receive a selection of personalised options, including hand-drawn sketches.

03. Choosing a Stone

With your design shaping up, Adam Matthews will personally handpick the perfect diamond for your ring. Drawing on years of expertise, he carefully chooses only the finest stones—ensuring exceptional brilliance. This hands-on selection guarantees your engagement ring features a diamond that’s as remarkable and unique as your love story.

04. CAD Design

With your diamond chosen, we’ll create a detailed 3D CAD rendering of your engagement ring — designed specifically to suit your unique stone. This step ensures every element of your ring is perfectly proportioned and thoughtfully crafted. You’ll be able to view the design from all angles before we move into production.

If you already have a wedding ring design in mind, we can also CAD the two rings together to ensure a seamless and beautiful fit from day one.

05. Crafting Your Ring

Once you’ve approved the final design, our skilled in-house jewellers begin the meticulous process of bringing your ring to life. Crafted with care and precision, your bespoke piece will be completed within 8 weeks from the date of order.

06. The Unveiling

You’ll be invited back to view your finished engagement ring — a moment many of our clients describe as emotional, meaningful, and unforgettable. Seeing your vision brought to life, crafted with intention and care, is something truly special.

During your appointment, we’ll take the time to walk you through how to care for your ring, discuss insurance options, and celebrate the beginning of this next chapter in your love story.

1. How much should I spend on an engagement ring?

There’s no set rule — the right budget is whatever you’re comfortable with. We’re here to help you create something beautiful at any price point.

2. What’s the difference between lab-grown and natural diamonds?

Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically and visually identical to natural diamonds but are created in controlled environments. The main differences are origin and price. We offer both and are happy to help you decide which is right for you.

3. How long does it take to create a custom engagement ring?

Our custom rings typically take 8 weeks from the time your design is approved.

4. Can I use my own diamond or gemstone?

Yes! We’re happy to incorporate a family stone or a diamond you already have, provided it’s suitable for your chosen design.

5. What’s included in the price of a custom ring?

Your quote includes all design work, craftsmanship, your chosen diamond or gemstone, and your selected metal. There are no extra charges for customisation. You also receive a Lifetime Guarantee because we stand behind our product.

6. What does your Lifetime Care Commitment include?

Our Lifetime Care Commitment ensures your jewellery stays as beautiful as the day you received it. With every custom engagement ring purchase, you receive:

- Free resizing to keep your ring comfortable over time

- Complimentary rhodium plating to maintain the shine of white gold

- Regular cleaning and inspections to preserve the integrity and brilliance of your piece

- Expert repairs and maintenance as needed to keep your jewellery in perfect condition

- We stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of every piece and are dedicated to supporting you for a lifetime.

7. Do you offer resizing or maintenance?

Yes! All custom engagement rings come with our Lifetime Care Commitment, including free resizing, rhodium plating, cleaning, and inspections.

8. Can I see the design before it's made?

Absolutely — we provide hand sketches and a 3D CAD rendering so you can visualise your ring from every angle before we begin crafting.

9. Will my engagement ring and wedding band sit flush together?

We can design your engagement ring with a matching wedding band in mind. If you already have a wedding band idea, we can CAD them together to ensure a perfect fit.

10. Can I design my ring online or virtually?

Yes! We offer virtual appointments so you can work with our design team no matter where you’re located.

11. What types of metal can I choose from?

We craft all of our engagement rings in 18k gold (available in yellow, white, or rose) or Platinum. We choose 18k for its perfect balance of beauty and durability, ensuring your ring is built to last a lifetime.

12. What’s the difference between white gold and platinum?

White gold has a warmer tone and is alloyed with other metals, then rhodium plated for a bright, white finish. Over time, it will need rhodium re-plating (every 12-18months) to maintain its shine — which we offer for free under our Lifetime Care Commitment.

Platinum is a naturally white metal and will not need this ongoing care.

12. My partner wears silver — can you set the ring in silver?

Silver is much softer and more prone to bending or losing its shape over time. That’s why, for engagement rings, we craft exclusively in 18k gold (yellow, white, or rose) or platinum, both of which offer superior strength and durability to ensure your ring lasts a lifetime.
