- Free, fully insured Australia Post Express Post, Australia-wide.
- Order before 2pm (Sydney time), Monday to Friday, and we dispatch the same day. Other orders are dispatched the next business day.
- A signature is needed on delivery. We also ship to selected countries: see International Shipping.
Returns
- Changed your mind? Return your piece within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange. It must be unworn, in its original packaging with any certificates, and come with proof of purchase. Return postage is at your cost.
- Resized or engraved pieces, sale items and pierced earrings can't be returned for change of mind.

Booking doesn't reserve the piece, and many of our pieces are one of a kind.
Making Time
This piece is made to order. Please contact us for the making time. Making time doesn't include delivery, and it can be longer in the lead-up to Christmas (see our Christmas order dates).
We begin once your 50% deposit is paid. The balance is due when your piece is finished, before we dispatch it.
Need it by a particular date? Tell us when you order and we'll confirm what's possible.
50% Deposit Option
Choose 50% deposit above Add to Cart to pay half today and the balance when your piece is finished.
- Today: 50% of your order, paid by card. Afterpay and Zip are available when you pay in full.
- Balance: due when your piece is finished, within the making time shown above, and before we ship it. We'll email you, then charge the card you paid with or send you a link to pay.
- Paying on time: if the balance isn't paid within 14 days of that email, we'll contact you, and we may cancel your order and keep your deposit.
- Cancelling: your deposit is non-refundable if you cancel or change your mind, as we start making your piece straight away.

Can I return my piece?
Yes. Available Now pieces bought online can be returned for change of mind within 30 days of delivery. The piece must be unworn and in its original packaging with any certificates, and return postage is at your cost. Resized or engraved pieces, sale items and pierced earrings can’t be returned for change of mind. Contact our team and we’ll guide you through it.
When will it arrive?
Order before 2pm (Sydney time), Monday to Friday, and we dispatch the same day by free, fully insured Australia Post Express Post. Other orders go out the next business day. A signature is needed on delivery.
Is it solid gold? What does silver filled mean?
Our fine jewellery is solid gold, in the purity shown in the Product Details, and we never sell gold plated or vermeil pieces. A few chains and bangles are silver filled: a thick layer of solid gold over a silver core, worn and cared for just like solid gold, at a lower price. Each listing says exactly which it is.
Can I see it before I buy?
Absolutely. Book a complimentary viewing in store or a virtual appointment, and let us know which piece you’d like to see. Booking doesn’t reserve the piece, and as many are one of a kind, it may sell before your appointment.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. Pieces of $2,000 or more include our Lifetime Care Guarantee because we believe your jewellery should be treasured and enjoyed for a lifetime.
Our commitment is designed to help you care for your piece for years to come, with ongoing services and support from our experienced team.
To maintain your Lifetime Care Guarantee, your piece needs to be inspected by our team every 12 months. It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure the piece is returned to Matthews Jewellers for these inspections, allowing our jewellers to check the settings, stones and overall condition of your piece.
Can I pay it off?
Yes. Afterpay and Zip are available at checkout, within the spending limit each sets for you. Zip fees may apply, so please check with Zip.
We also offer lay-by: a 25% deposit, then fortnightly payments over up to three months. Contact our team to set one up. See our Lay-by Policy.
Can you send it as a gift?
Yes. Every piece comes beautifully boxed, and we can include a gift receipt. Just add a note at checkout.
