The Process
1. Book a Complimentary Consultation
Yes – in most cases, we can reset your existing stones into a new design.
We understand how meaningful original stones can be, and we're proud to work with sentimental diamonds and gemstones.
Before we begin, we’ll carefully assess each stone during your complimentary consultation. Some older stones may have chips, cracks, or structural wear that make them unsuitable for resetting. If that's the case, we'll talk you through your options – including reinforcing the stone or incorporating it into the design in a different way.
Your stones will be handled with the utmost care and respect throughout the entire process.
2. Design and Cad Modeling
Once we’ve discussed your style, goals, and inspiration, our team will begin translating those ideas into a design. We’ll present a range of thoughtful options, including hand-drawn sketches and a custom 3D CAD rendering of your new piece, so you can visualise the design from every angle before we begin crafting.
For the month of May, this design process is completely complimentary (valued at $250). You’re welcome to make changes until every detail feels just right. It’s important to us that you feel fully confident and excited before we move forward.
3. Stone Removal and Quality Check
After you’ve approved the final design, we’ll carefully unset your existing diamonds or gemstones. Each stone is gently removed by our expert jewellers and then individually assessed for structural integrity, chips, or wear.
If any stones are unsuitable for remounting, we’ll walk you through your options—such as sourcing a matching stone or incorporating it into a keepsake piece. We take great pride in preserving the story your stones carry while ensuring they’re secure and beautifully set in your new design.
4. Crafting Your New Piece
This is where the magic truly happens. Your new piece is handcrafted by our master jewellers using fresh, high-quality gold alloys to ensure strength, longevity, and a flawless finish. The crafting process typically takes 6–8 weeks from design approval. Every detail is completed with the same level of care and precision we’ve become known for.
5. Final Reveal
You’ll be invited back to see your finished piece—a moment that many of our clients describe as emotional, moving, and unforgettable. Seeing a beloved heirloom transformed into something new, meaningful, and uniquely yours is truly special.

2. Can I
reuse my old gold in the remodelling?
We don’t reuse old gold for remodelling – and
here’s why.
While we understand the sentimental value, we don’t melt down and reuse old
gold when crafting a new piece. That’s because each jeweller has their own
specific gold alloy "recipe." Mixing different recipes can create porosity
(tiny air bubbles in the metal), weakening the structure of your new piece and
increasing the risk of breakage over time.
To ensure the highest quality, we craft all
new pieces using fresh, guaranteed alloys. Instead, we offer a gold buy-back
credit, so your original gold can still contribute meaningfully to your
remodel without compromising on strength or integrity.
3. What if
I don’t know what design I want?
That’s exactly what our complimentary design
consultation is for.
You don’t need to have anything figured out before coming in. We’ll sit down
with you, talk through your style, ideas, and what the piece means to you. Our
team will create sketches and CAD designs to help you visualise your new piece.
We’ll guide you every step of the way to bring
your vision to life – even if you’re not quite sure what that looks like yet.
4. How long
does the remodelling process take?
Typically 6–8 weeks from design approval.
Once your design is finalised and approved, your piece will be handcrafted by
our jewellers with precision and care.
If you have a special date in mind – like a
birthday, anniversary, or wedding – let us know as early as possible and we’ll
do our best to meet your timeline.
5. How much
does remodelling cost?
It depends on the design – but the first step
is free.
Because every remodelling project is unique, pricing varies based on the design
complexity, the condition of your stones, and whether additional materials are
required.
